We reached out to Brian to participate in an Application Health Assessment and ensure that the underlying Infrastructure was included in our assessment. The resulting heat maps were thorough and helped us to clearly understand where improvements could be implemented and how those improvements would adjust our risk profile. More importantly, Brian provided an executable Infrastructure Roadmap/Program that was integrated with our Business Priorities while addressing specific performance challenges in our environment. Brian moved from Strategic to Tactical as he took the role of Program Manager which included Technology Assessments, Requirements Gathering, RFI/RFP Creation, Vendor Management/Interaction, Program Reporting and Budget Tracking/Control. The results were clear as we have reduced our operational costs while increasing capacity, agility and performance. Brian also took a leadership role on our PCI Certification journey which was secured in Feb 2015 and successfully recertified in Feb 2016. Brian joined our SAP Project as a Technical Advisor and provided support across a broad list of projects including technical reviews of the Target State which included over 200 AIX Logical Partitions, Networking, Storage, Disaster Recovery Planning and Capacity Planning. Brian’s contract was extended and he was asked to provide testing/performance leadership to provide assurance that our environment was production ready. This testing program was not limited to SAP as it included the entire Eco-System. Brian establish KPI’s with the business for Internal and Customer User Experience across Web Front-Ends, into the new SOA ESB and then onto the SAP Backend.Brian was always available, provided strong processes and was very focused on delivery. Brian helped us successfully deliver our infrastructure commitments within a very complex SAP program across multiple vendors.
Brian joined at the beginning of our SAP project and I worked with him on a daily basis in my SAP-Basis role. Brian provided the Basis Team with great support and was able to take deep dives with us to understand, appreciate and solve complex issues. Brian worked with us on the architecture, performance and operations while providing support to ensure changes were implemented in a controlled and timely manner. Brian provided a strategic and tactical view that helped us connect to the larger initiative and understand/appreciate our role in the Program. Brian always wanted to provide the best solution for the client. Brian was available 24/7 and was always with us during incidents, builds or changes be it 2am or weekends. Brian joined our SAP project as a Technical Advisor within the Infrastructure Group. Brian focused on supporting the delivery of our SAP, ESB and Front-End Technologies including Capacity, Performance and Builds. As our project progressed, I asked Brian to assist with various “hot spots” in our program including Performance Testing, Operational Readiness, and Debit/Credit Experience. Brian readily accepted these new assignments and provided significant value as he quickly integrated with the existing team, helped identify the complexities and provided leadership to develop and deliver solutions. Of note, Brian successfully worked within a multi-vendor environment to drive solutions including working directly with SAP Development to ensure our transactional volumes could be successfully processed from ATM’s to our SAP Backend. During our Go-Live, Brian transitioned into support each Incident Manager with oversight and root cause analysis to ensure effective control and timely resolutions. Brian has a unique set of skills and was able to successfully interact with all levels of the organization.
As the Program Manager for a major ESB implementation I was fortunate to work with Brian during our Build, Test and Deploy phases. Brian provided a connection point into the Customer/Infrastructure Services and worked proactively and professionally to ensure the services being delivered were aligned to defined requirements and customer expectations. Brian was able to quickly add value as he helped assemble/coordinate the right resources to work with the ESB team to solve issues and plot next steps.With the Infrastructure build underway we were able to focus on ESB Development and meet critical project milestones. Brian’s previous ESB Architecture experience helped identify opportunities to improve resiliency, ensure performance and reduce operational costs.
